Paramartha: Journal of Islamic Guidance and Counselling in Education ensures the electronic backup and long-term digital preservation of all published content through the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN). The preservation status of this journal can be viewed on the Publisher Manifest page.

The PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) was developed by the Public Knowledge Project (PKP) to digitally preserve OJS journals. Through the LOCKSS program (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe), this system offers decentralized and distributed preservation, ensuring perpetual access and safeguarding the authentic original version of the content. The PKP PN is especially intended for journals that are not yet part of other digital preservation services such as CLOCKSS or Portico.

Preservation Services Supported

• PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN): Provides free digital preservation for OJS journals that meet basic criteria.

• LOCKSS: Supported by OJS to enable secure, permanent archiving and content distribution at participating libraries via a LOCKSS Publisher Manifest page.

• CLOCKSS: OJS also supports integration with CLOCKSS (Controlled Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe), ensuring secure and permanent archiving for journals that have signed a contract with the CLOCKSS Archive.
